Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative at Ombud, you will be responsible for researching companies, articulating our solution to senior executives while establishing yourself as a peer to foster long term relationships within Ombud’s sales process. Ideal candidates will build rapport and conduct high-level conversations with prospects about their business and to introduce our solutions in a consultative manner. By conducting these discovery calls, you will qualify potential clients, uncover needs, and collect relevant information for our Sales Team. We are looking for competitive, engaged, and coachable candidates who are seeking a challenging, but rewarding sales environment. Does this sound like you?

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with our Account Executives to execute a go-to-market strategy and build sales pipeline
  • Conduct account-based research to personalize outreach efforts
  • Communicate with prospects via emails, phone calls, and events to develop interest
  • Utilize a variety of sources to aggressively research, develop, and cultivate sales leads
  • Leverage consultative sales skills to evaluate client needs, challenges, and pain points
  • Create, organize, and track leads using SalesForce
  • Meet and exceed individual quantitative and qualitative goals

About You:

  • 1 – 3 years of sales experience, preferably with SaaS technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competitive spirit with a strong desire to exceed the norm
  • Understanding of next generation sales prospecting through LinkedIn and market research
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
