Director of Demand Generation Marketing

Ombud is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing with a focus on Demand Generation to build our marketing organization. This role is central to meeting our pipeline and revenue targets. Reporting to the CEO, you will help Ombud build an execution and results oriented Demand Generation organization from the ground up.

This leader will be required to think, communicate and act on a strategic level, while also rolling up his/her sleeves to serve in a hands-on capacity to define, execute and analyze cross-channel marketing programs and work closely with Sales and Product Marketing. This person will be expected to lead the design, creation and execution of campaigns, including customer journey focused programs, paths to convert Ombud traffic, nurturing campaigns, webinars, emails, and more. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop inbound lead gen strategy and campaigns across digital marketing channels as well as partner marketing and field events.
  • Develop thought leadership content to support lead generation programs.
  • Leverage Marketing Automation and Salesforce to measure, track and analyze marketing programs and performance.
  • Analyze campaigns and programs for effectiveness and make valid conclusions; conduct marketing programs reporting and analysis and continuously improve overall program effectiveness.
  • Drive customer experience focused programs targeting net-new Enterprise accounts.
  • Manage marketing calendar and ensure all lead scoring and nurture programs are monitored and optimized.
  • Negotiate with content, list and events vendors as well as track and manage a sizable demand generation budget, accounting for Marketing spend.
  • Collaborate with sales to identify targets for account-based marketing campaigns and leverage both traditional and predictive modeling to build highly targeted, prioritized list for sales.
  • Streamline lead management system to ensure a tight measurement between marketing programs, pipeline and closed revenue.
  • Build continuous customer and prospect nurture campaigns to provide continuous engagement for early stage leads.
  • Measure and improve ROI by campaign to drive investment decisions.
  • Innovate, test and experiment with new marketing strategies, tools, analytics, lead sources to build a strong pipeline for sales. 

About You:

  • 6+ years of marketing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand generation for a B2B SaaS company, with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results.
  • Experience working with sales, being a business partner that is accountable to help them achieve their goals.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong experience with customer experience-based marketing.
  • Strong experience with high-volume inbound programs.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills—ability to write tight, targeted copy and also demonstrable experience communicating forthcoming campaigns and results to sales and executive teams.
  • First-hand experience with Marketing Automation Platforms (HubSpot, Marketo or equivalent) and Salesforce to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI.
  • Experience in running a portfolio of quality lead generation programs, including: email and database marketing, content marketing, sponsorships, events, etc.
  • Experience developing a brand new or much improved lead scoring model with demonstrable results.
  • Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful.
  • Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Product Marketing and Marketing Communications experience a plus
